2010 Rockbare Shiraz

Winemaker's Tim Burvill and Marty O'Flaherty regard the 2010 vintage as one of the best in recent times which has resulted an absolute belter of a Shiraz. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with very deep black purple hue. The nose displays excellent perfumed lift with attractive aromas of liquorice allsorts followed by dark plum and ripe blackberry with some vanillin confectionary end notes.

Full bodied and quite rich the palate is bursting with an intensity of flavour well above its price point. Generous flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum are followed by some toasty vanillin back palate characters. Velvet smooth tannins and fleshy plush mouthfeel. Excellent depth with long ripe blackberry, liquorice, plum and vanillin spice aftertaste. Drink over the next 4-5 years (2012-2017)
